Easter Island does not have a suitable port. The best way to disembark passengers is to have the ship anchor in the bay of Hanga Roa and use their tenders to disembark passengers at the bay of Hanga Piko some 1200 meters from where the ship is anchored.

Light dues are handled differently on Easter Island in most cases there will be a significant decrease in port expenses. This happened when ships call Easter Island as the onlu port in Chile (and NOT any other port in the country). The payment for yhis item is reduced to only 10% of the total tonnage normal due. The tender landing place is HANGA PIKO, it is located 1200 meters from the anchorage place and around 1,50 kms Hanga Roa village center shopping area.

Hanga Roa it is the only village on the island and shops are located at the center of town and about 1500 meters from the landing place.
